I said after we surprised my daughter 4 years ago with her 2nd Disney trip that I would NEVER surprise her again. Keeping that secret darn near killed me. I held onto it until we were almost at the airport on our arrival day. My husband could have waited until we arrived at the parks. Not me sister. Of course HE wasn't doing all the planning and preparing, so it wasn't on his mind 24/7 like it was for me. BUT let's be honest, secret keeping is not my strong suit.
Fast forward to yesterday. Keep in mind we are already cruising in June 2019, so this trip is not something I ever expected the husband to even consider. Well, I'm having a good year, so he considered. LOL. So I reserved it lickety-split.
Our trip will begin right after Easter so naturally I want to make it an Easter SURPRISE. I will be working on those details for the next 9 months. LOL. But seriously, I will. I have 9 long months to keep my mouth shut. Wish me luck.
We are staying at Disney's Beach Club Resort with a water view Club Level. We are spoiled now that we stayed at The Yacht Club, Club Level, our last trip. We enjoyed that location and the pool and the location and the pool, so much that we decided to try her sister resort, The Beach Club. I do not think we will be disappointed.
Our other option was The Contemporary, Atrium Club Level, which also would have been VERY nice. It is obviously on the monorail AND is walking distance to Magic Kingdom. If I had a kid in a stroller, I'd be all over The Contemporary!!
However, since we do not have small children and we will want to hit up Hollywood Studios for the new Toy Story Land AND my love of Soarin' at Epcot, we decided on BC for its location, right next to Epcot, (walking distance entrance through England/France) and not far from Hollywood Studios, (can walk, but the free boat transportation is way more enjoyable) and it also has that fantastic Stormalong Bay pool it shares with Yacht Club. See BLOG Archive for more details about Yacht Club and pool.
My dining reservation window opens in October, so I will check back in as it approaches.
