First post of 2024 and it's all about cruising. As I mentioned in a previous post, we will FINALLY return to cruising in 2024 on a 10-night Disney Cruise on our beloved, Fantasy. Our pay in full date is fast approaching, which means our booking of excursions and onboard activities is also coming VERY soon. Very excited about that.
What I haven't shared is that we are stepping out of our DCL comfort zone and have booked a Mediterranean cruise for 2025. Seriously a bucket list item and hopefully the springboard for future Italian adventures, hopefully including land tours.

I went a little bougie and booked a Haven Aft Penthouse Suite with a master bedroom and large balcony on the Norwegian Breakaway. The Haven is Norwegian Cruise Line's concierge level rooms.
We are still too far out to make any hardcore plans for this cruise, but I have begun my in depth research. Rick Steves Italy book was my first purchase, and I have also purchased Rick Steves Cruising the Mediterranean. I hope to even learn a little conversational Italian before we set sail.
Rest assured, I will deep dive into my research hardcore once the DCL is behind us. As of now, I am working out our excursion plans and will post separately once the booking window opens. I will review that process post-covid and compare it to previous experiences.
