We've already decided on our own excursions. We will likely do a dolphin excursion at St. Kitts, a beach day at Antigua, and a beach day at St. Thomas, with shopping mixed in on all 3. We will do the stingray experience on Castaway Cay this time around and hopefully fully explore the island.
Our last cruise we did a lot of things and loved it, but I feel like this cruise will be even better because we know what we loved and will do again, and know what we didn't get a chance to do and will try to work it in. Specifically, we spent a majority of our Castaway Cay visit snorkeling and stayed generally in one spot. This trip, I'd like to visit more of the island and see locations we didn't before. I also think my daughter, who will be 11 at the time, will enjoy the stingray experience. We will still snorkel some, but this time we will bring our own equipment.
This is the excursion we are planning in St. Kitts except I'm going a little crazy and considering booking it directly with the company for a couple reasons. First is, it is CHEAPER. The package is actually an upgrade from what Disney offers AND it includes photos. If you look at reviews of this excursion, the biggest gripe is the cost of photos. We can book it for slightly more than the Disney cost, but it upgrades the experience AND includes photos and 1 print. The draw back is we have to get our own transportation AND we run the risk of a port cancellation and being stuck with a credit for the experience that expires in 365 days. I'm not at all concerned about missing getting back to the boat, which could be a concern for some 'on own' excursions, but this particular one only last about 50 minutes and it is VERY close to the port and our scheduled time is early enough in the day to have more than enough time to get back to the ship. Decisions Decisions.
