I found the setting to be lovely and really enjoyed seeing what it has to offer. It is a beautiful Spanish inspired resort that celebrates the daring spirit of the great Spanish explorers, artists, writers and architects.
It was recently reimagined and will open a new gorgeous tower, The Gran Destino Tower - Rooms and Suites, July 2019.
We visited a standard room and a Casitas 1 bedroom suite

Standard Room
Casitas - 1 bedroom suite
When you walk into the main 'living' area, it is set up with 2 table sitting areas, and a living room area. There are two connecting doors on opposite walls on the right and the left side walls.
For our tour, the left door was open, revealing a 2 queen bed bedroom and a bathroom. Our particular configuration was set up to sleep 6 adult, 2 per queen bed and 2 on the fold out queen-size sofa bed in the living area.
Now, close the 2 queen bedroom side off, and open the opposite door that has 1 king bed and it becomes a 1 bedroom suite - king, sleeping 4 adults, 2 on the king and 2 on the sleeper sofa. OR, here's where it gets fun, open BOTH doors and it becomes the Casitas - Executive Suite, sleeping up to 8 adults.
I love clever and this was certainly clever. Great for the family or group needing the options of more occupancy.
