Pressed coin machines are all over Disney World. They are actually all over just about any tourist place you go, but Disney World is covered in them.
We collected a couple our first trip, and have since collected more and more. There are actually web pages dedicated to the pressed coin locations. You can even print and create your own pocket guides for each location within Walt Disney World.
This year, we are making it a 'thing' we plan to do. We are going to look for particular coins to collect, like a scavenger hunt. It is not only fun to find them, but it is fairly inexpensive and that is a hard thing to come by at Disney, fun and inexpensive.
Since her old pressed coin collection book we purchased at Disney during our last trip is almost full, we'll have to get a new one for this trip. Other than that, the only cost will be 2 quarters and 1 penny per coin. There are pressed quarters too, but we usually stick to the pennies.
If this sounds like something you'd like to do, you can carry your coins in M&M tubes, shown below. You can also use empty prescription bottles. We bring the cleanest pennies we can find so that the image ends up looking the best it can.
Have fun and happy hunting!
