Our dining reservation window is opening and we've had to secretly discuss where we want to eat in April. Seems ridiculous, but hey, that's all the magic that goes into planning a Walt Disney World vacation.
We've decided this is not going to be a year of trying all new dining experiences. Instead we are gong back to our favorites. We are not fancy, we are NOT foodies.
We have narrowed down our dining to
- 'Ohana
- Be Our Guest (quick service lunch)
- Cape May (All you can eat crab legs, that's why)
- Tusker House
- Liberty Tree Taven
- Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue
The only NEW experience will be Hoop-Dee-Doo. I have sent MANY clients there based on great reviews and none have been disappointed. In past trips we had a loaded agenda and didn't want to take that kind of time out for dinner, but this trip, we are doing what we want, when we want, at a more laid back pace. That is one of the perks of having been to WDW many times, you learn what you have to do and what you can pass on.
Having said all that we are going to surprise our daughter with an experience we've never done before. On one of our mornings, we are going to take a Minnie Van to Disney Springs and take a cake decorating class. She is going to be SO excited.
At Amorette's Patisserie, at Disney Springs, you can sign up 180 days in advance to participate in a cake decorating class to make a dome cake, usually Mickey, but can be seasonally themed.
We debated on doing the NEW Early Morning Magic in Toy Storyland, but decided we will just use our FastPass+ to experience the new rides there.
We are still debating on doing the Tomorrowland Terrace Fireworks and Dessert Party. There are now 2 options, one is to sit at a table, which is of course more expensive, or to get to view the show in a preferred standing area. I'm a sitter, so trying to convince my husband we need to pay more to do exactly what we did our last trip, at a higher price, might be a hard sell. I will say this, there is NO way I will be up in the regular crowd ever again, to watch the nighttime show at Magic Kingdom. Not a chance. Too much crazy for this girl.
Anyways, that's all we have for our April trip for now. Seems so far away, but I know it will sneak up on us!
